The second installment of the Poopsheet Foundation Monthly Mini-Comic series is now available. All proceeds help in building and maintaining the Mini-Comic and Fanzine Database.

The September 2017 mailing includes two minis. First up is Wag Rag #2 with comics and art by Hal Mundane, Andy Nukes, Caesar Meadows, Billy McKay and Roger Langridge.

The second mini for this month is Poopsheet? with info on some recently published small press comics by a variety of folks and cover art by Andy Nukes.

Database progress report for 2/19-2/25

I know these progress updates are a bit dull but, hey, this Roy Tompkins art should spice things up a bit, right?

This past week I added 47 new entries to the Database and edited another 62 (added info, added photos, improved photos, etc.). I also scanned 30 covers and cropped and edited another 35. Lots of fun behind the scenes here!

The last entries for last week were a couple of Roy Tompkins’ The Mighty Insect lowbrow art zines from the ’80s (scan above donated by Lou Jacobs). Also recently added were some late ’70s/early ’80s newave comix, a good handful of UK fanzine Fantasy Advertiser and more.

As I type this there are currently 9,960 individual entries in the Database.  Will we hit 10,000 this week? We’ll see!

Thanks, everybody, for your continued support. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions about this project please feel free to drop me an email.

Database update

Hi, folks, just a quick update. This past week I’ve added 113 new entries to the Mini-Comic and Fanzine Database and updated another 55 (additional data, additional photos, improved photos, etc.).  We’re well on our way to 10,000.

If you’re curious about how much work remains let me just say this: I’m currently working on a virtual pile of donated scans in which there are literally 18,000+ files to go through. And that’s just from one source.

I also wanted to let you know I’m working on a new reward (or two) for Patreon patrons. I can’t really say any more right now but I think you’ll like it.

Thanks for your support and Happy New Year!

–Rick
